Ready for the weekend? Here's what you can look forward to this week.

1. PetExpo 2024

PetExpo is back with a fun-filled three-day extravaganza in celebration of its 10th anniversary.

You can look forward to a variety of talks and workshops ranging from first aid for pets to pet portrait workshops, as well as competitions and showcases that you can spectate, a photo booth for you to capture memories with your pets, and much more.

Be sure to check out the sprawling marketplace with hundreds of stalls selling pet treats and accessories to pamper your pet thoroughly. There will also be adoption drives where you can give a loving home to a new fur-friend.

2. Explore & Play at Changi

Take your little ones on a brand-new adventure at Changi Airport from now till 1 May at Terminal 3's Tropical Play Forest.

Your kids can walk on the wild side in this whimsical jungle gym, from sliding down a "waterfall" into a bubbling ball pit, braving the suspension bridges on the "treetop walk", or even swinging on a coconut tree.

In addition, keep an eye out for adorable photo spots at Basement 2, from a cute otter family to a cool optical illusion and "water feature".

3. Car-Free Sunday 2024

Car-Free Sunday returns to the Civic District and Central Business District (CBD) this Sunday.

This event aims to promote Singapore's car-lite goal by creating greater public awareness of the benefits of walking, cycling and riding public transport as sustainable ways to travel.

Designated roads in the aforementioned districts will be closed to traffic from 8 am to 11 am for the public to walk, run or cycle along.

In addition, from 8 am to 2 pm, you're invited to participate in various activities put together by LTA and partners at the two main event spaces along St Andrew's Road and Esplanade Drive, from interactive games to inline skating, aeromodelling, parkour, and much more.

You'll also want to check out the Singapore Really Really Free Market, where you can donate your pre-loved items and also snag others' pre-loved items for free.

4. Hinghwa Food & Cultural Festival

Celebrating and showcasing the best of Hinghwa culture and heritage, the inaugural Hinghwa Food & Cultural Festival runs from now till 17 March at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza in Orchard Road.

This cultural extravaganza boasts tons of delicious food and drinks from Hinghwa cuisine, from pork puff pastries to pickled olive skewers, oyster cakes, Hinghwa red rice cakes, red mushroom tea, and much more.

You can also look forward to cultural performances like martial arts demonstrations by Shaolin monks from Putian's Southern Temple, Puxian opera performances by a troupe from the Puxian Opera Theatre, live painting and calligraphy demonstrations, and much more.

5. Movies at Southside: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Head to Sentosa island for a FREE movie screening of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban this weekend.

Taking place at Southside on Sentosa, the screening is a walk-in event, no pre-booking required. However, entry is limited to 200 pax on a first come first served basis, so be sure to get there early to secure your spot.
